It’s interesting the current talk around whether an SEO should program. I wish we could actually ban the use of SEO as a noun, rather than a verb. I’ve never met an “SEO” but there does seem to be a lot of them on-line which is where I imagine they stay, absorbing posts about how to stuff alt tags.
To provide effective marketing services on-line that deliver actual results, you need a wide range of skills in your team, including SEO but also copy writing, stats analysis, programming, server configuration, psychology, business analysis to name but a few.
An SEO that programs is like a powered screwdriver. It’s still just a screwdriver, just a bit faster. You need a full tool kit to build your house.
